Impact!! That is the one word that comes to my mind after spending the last three weeks in our projects in Swaziland, Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. The lives of our African staff have been so impacted that the love and truth that they have received cannot help but spill over in the lives of the little ones they are working with in the Cup CarePoints. Even the people in the communities surrounding the CarePoints are being touched as our kids our learning to serve and give back to the hurting around them.
Wow!! I’m overcome with gratefulness to Jesus and to our partners for allowing us the privilege of working with so man
y precious little ones and watching them walk through the path of healing from hurt to hope. That is really what Children’s Cup is all about is reaching out to rescue children like my friend Tinotenda that was rescued from a pit toilet as an infant. After years of nurturing love and care he has healed physically and emotionally from his past and is looking forward to a bright future. Now he is excited about giving back to help other hurting and disadvantaged people. The cycle of poverty and hopelessness is broken and a new cycle of love, hope, and even influence is has begun.
That is what we mean by our slogan…
